The 2024 fall sports season may be wrapping up, but Ocean City has a lot to be proud of! In this sports block, we highlight the strong playoff performances from our girls’ soccer, volleyball, and field hockey teams. The girls’ soccer team, led by head coach Sean Matteo, had an incredible 20-5 season, winning the CAL title and making it to the Group 3 finals.
In just their second season, the girls’ volleyball team, under head coach Jillian Garza, made huge strides, earning their first-ever playoff win and advancing to the South Jersey Semifinals. Over in field hockey, Coach Burke’s squad finished with 12 wins and a second-place CAL finish.
