A fall classic is returning to Ocean City once again. The annual Thanksgiving football game between Ocean City and Pleasantville is coming back to mark the 100 -year anniversary of this tradition, however with new changes to the high school football schedule, there is a chance that this could be the last time this fixture could be played. Here at the Current OC, we had the chance to talk to Coach Smith and ask him about the tradition, and what the future holds for it.
Ocean City leads Pleasantville with an all-time record of 53 wins-43 losses and 7 ties, marking the potentially final meeting overall. As it’s possibly the last game, make sure you head out this Thursday to support our Red Raiders and experience this historic tradition for yourself. This has been Matt Simone, reporting for the Current OC.
