Spring is here. The sun is out. The animals are waking up from their winter sleep. The flowers are growing tall but one special flower is different than the rest. This clover has a voice, a voice crying for help. Horton the Elephant is the only one that can hear the voice coming from a speck of dust resting on a clover. This is the story of Seussical the Musical, the annual Spring Musical to be performed by Ocean City High School Drama Guild in the upcoming week.
Horton the Elephant (Kyle Howie/Brenden Haddon) is the only animal in the jungle of Nool that can hear little Jojo the Who (Liam Bradley/Fiona Flynn). Jojo has “thinks” so vivid that it causes great cocern for the rest of the hive minded who society, especially his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Mayor (Josh Breslin/Michael Beebe) (JoHannah Newman/ Bethie Kazanjian). Led by the Sour Kangaroo (Anna Meyers/Sammie Wright) the jungle creatures do everything they can to discourage Horton, because they cannot hear the Whos, but Horton remains faithful.
