Interview with the Queen
Conducted by JoHannah G Newman
After crowned the 2014-2015 Homecoming Queen, this reporter was able to interview Mrs. Lucia Casaleno about her new title.
Q: Why did you decide to run for homecoming queen?
A: I thought it would be a great way to represent the school and my peers in a way that wasn’t so sweaty (since I’m usually the mascot.)
Q: Your skit was creative and fun. How did you come up with such a great idea?
A: My best friend Macy and I were brainstorming during class one day and we knew that we had to incorporate the Raider somehow so it just snowballed from there. The football players were so supportive.
Q: How did you react when you first won?
A: I was ecstatic to hear all my friends cheer for me. It was so special and I’m still on a cloud.
Q: What did you think of the competition/experience overall?
A: It was so fun campaigning. I got to talk to a lot of people. On the voting and pep rally day I was just a ball of excitement. Winning was awesome but my favorite part was the pep rally.
Q: What are your future plans?
A: I plan on attending a college near New York City or Philadelphia for marketing and advertising. I am so excited for whatever life has to throw at me. I’ll have to set aside days to polish my crown. (Kidding of course.)
