For over thirty years, the Cape May County Zoo has been a place for people of all ages to come and enjoy the variety of wildlife it hasto offer. Located on the intersection of route 9 and Crest Haven Road, the zoo is a great place for the whole family to enjoy a great day together for just a small donation.

Having opened in 1978, the zoo first consisted of an African Lion, primates, and a variety of barnyard animals. During its expansion years, it underwent major renovations to become the new home of an assortment of new animals. They added a camel and giraffe exhibit, a cougar exhibit, a tiger exhibit and a reptile house. In 1998, it opened its “Word of Birds” aviary, where people can walk through and interact with the species. Now the zoo has over 500 animals and over 200 species from all over the world. The zoo even has a playground, gift shop, and a café.
