As I make my way through the corridors of OC High, I take note of what I hear. Sometimes students do not realize that I am within listening range and I can hear what they say. Often they see me and make no attempt to shield me from profanity spewing from their mouths. Don’t get me wrong, I understand that curse words are sometimes an instant reaction (a door slams on your hand) What troubles me is that many students appear indifferent to the use of profanity, and could care less as to who hears them. In addition, I notice that some students curse so frequently that they do not realize they’re cursing.
