Over the summer, Ocean City High School funded and built a new observatory. On December 3rd, this investment paid off when Saturn was visible just above the horizon in the early morning. Using the telescope, Saturn, as well as the moon, was visible at six A.M. on Thursday morning. A few people showed up and any attendance was part of the science club. In the future, Doctor John Herrmann, as well as some of the other science department staff, would like to see a large number of students as well as other members of the community attending events and being interested in matters similar to this one.
