Most people believe our high school basketball teams contain the only players in the school. However, on Saturday mornings countless students at OCHS lace up their shoes, show off their skills, and settle their trash talk in the CAL basketball league.
The highly competitive recreational league is about as professional as it gets. There is a draft, power rankings, trades, and more. Statistics and analytics are recorded for every game and a referee is hired for the matchups. The best part is that the league is entirely student-run. Commissioners Nate Marple and Chris Armstrong put countless hours into running the league.
